Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Expense Tracker mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Expense Tracker regarding your use of the App and related services.

2. Description of Service

Expense Tracker is a personal finance management application that provides the following services:

• Manual and AI-assisted expense tracking and categorization
• Budget creation and monitoring with customizable alerts
• Financial analytics and spending summaries
• Multi-currency expense support
• Data export and import capabilities

3. Account Registration

To use the App, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password, or by authenticating through Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is the property of Expense Tracker and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into the App. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

7. AI-Powered Features

The App uses artificial intelligence to automatically categorize expenses. While we strive for accuracy, AI categorization is provided on a best-effort basis. You should review and verify AI-generated categorizations for accuracy.

We are not responsible for any financial decisions made based on AI-generated data or suggestions.

8. Service Availability

We aim to provide uninterrupted access to the App, but we do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Expense Tracker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

The App is not a substitute for professional financial advice. Always consult with a qualified financial advisor for important financial decisions.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or the service.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, though you may export your data before account deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
